We NEVER sell, trade, or monetize your personal data. We do NOT collect health, medical, or financial banking credentials, and you retain absolute rights to permanently delete your account and personal records at any time.
1. Scope & Jurisdiction (GCC Regional Coverage)
This Privacy Policy governs the processing of personal data across all jurisdictions where our services are available, primarily focusing on the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), including:

A. User Identity & Resident Verification Data
- Full Name & Mobile Number: Used as your primary secure Login ID (via SMS OTP) and on individual bill statements.
- Workplace / Employer & City: Company or workplace name and location within your host GCC country, used for room resident identification.
- Permanent Home Country Address: Native place address collected for room identification and safety records.
- Work Shift: Day Shift, Night Shift, or Rotating Shift (used solely to coordinate quiet hours and household chore duty rosters).
- Profile Photo: Voluntarily uploaded for occupant recognition within the private room dashboard.
B. Emergency Contact Roster (Resident Safety)
- Home Country Emergency Contact: Name, relationship (e.g., Parent, Sibling, Spouse), and overseas contact phone number.
- Local GCC Emergency Contact: Name and local mobile phone number of a friend, coworker, or relative in the host GCC country.
- Purpose: Strictly preserved so the Room Admin or building authority can contact family in the event of an acute accident or urgent medical emergency.
Explicit Exclusion of Sensitive Health & Financial Data:
We explicitly do NOT collect medical records, blood groups, biometric indicators, passport copies, credit/debit card numbers, CVVs, or online banking passwords.
C. Shared Living & Financial Ledger Records
- Expense entries, paper receipt photos, dates, payment method records (Cash/Bank Transfer/UPI tags), billable stay days, meal participation points, and visitor/guest stay charges.
D. Geolocation & Technical Identifiers
- GPS Coordinates: Collected solely if an authorized Room Admin clicks "Auto-Detect My Location" to pin the room on the map for prospective tenants.
- Device Push Tokens (FCM): Stored to dispatch automated notifications (chore duty alarms, monthly bill publication alerts).
4. Purpose & Legal Basis for Data Processing
Your data is processed strictly for legitimate operational purposes:
- Executing accurate, fair mathematical splits for room rent, electricity/water utilities, internet, and mess food expenses.
- Maintaining a secure resident registry for building safety and emergency response.
- Generating downloadable individual PDF payment receipts and consolidated account ledgers.
- Publishing vacant bed spaces on the public directory (FindBedSpace.online) when requested by the Room Admin.
5. Strict Non-Disclosure & Anti-Commercialization Guarantee
- Zero Data Selling: We NEVER sell, rent, lease, trade, or monetize your personal details or emergency contacts to third-party marketing, telemarketing, or advertising agencies.
- Internal Room Transparency: For communal transparency, your billable days, meal points, payment receipts, and room chat contributions are visible only to verified roommates and the Room Admin of your private room workspace.
- Law Enforcement Compliance: We disclose records only if strictly compelled by valid judicial subpoenas, court warrants, or binding government statutory directives.
6. Cloud Infrastructure & Sub-Processors
We utilize trusted enterprise-grade infrastructure providers with end-to-end encryption:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud Platform: Secure database hosting (Cloud Firestore), encrypted authentication (Firebase Auth), media hosting (Firebase Storage), and push notifications (FCM). Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256).
- Tesseract.js OCR: Client-side optical character recognition executing locally on your device to parse receipt numbers without sending images to external AI servers.
- OpenStreetMap & Leaflet: Used for open map visualization.
7. Account Deletion, Data Purging & Anonymization Policy
In strict compliance with Google Play Developer User Data Policies:
- In-App Self-Deletion: Any resident can permanently delete their account directly within the App via Profile ➔ Delete / Deactivate My Account.
- Outstanding Dues Protection: If an account carries an active unpaid balance, self-deletion is locked until the balance is cleared with the Room Admin, preventing fraudulent evasion of shared living costs.
- Personal Data Purge: Upon confirmed deletion, your phone number, workplace details, permanent address, emergency contacts, and profile photo are permanently and irreversibly erased from active databases and storage buckets.
- Accounting Ledger Preservation: To prevent financial calculation errors for the remaining roommates, historical payment amounts and debit/credit ledger entries are preserved under the anonymous pseudonym "Former Member".
- Web-Based Deletion Option: Users who have uninstalled the app can submit a deletion request via our web portal (findbedspace.online/app.html#support) or by emailing support@findbedspace.online with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
8. Children's Privacy (Strict 18+ Policy)
Bed Space Manager is strictly intended for adult working professionals and university students aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly solicit or collect data from minors. Any record identified belonging to an individual under 18 will be purged immediately.
